The Biomass Summit will include a presentation by Dr. Eric Eddings about the curent P/J Co-fire study taking place. The Institute for Clean and Secure Energy at the University of Utah has teamed with agronomists from Utah State University, a local company Amaron Energy, and representatives from the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management to identify potential uses for this woody biomass waste. One approach that is being considered is use of the P-J material as a co-firing fuel in a coal-fired power plant.
Interact and learn from experts in the biomass field during the Biomass Summit which will be held 18 miles east of Beaver at Eagle Point Resort. An evening dinner and social will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 18, 2012.
